The Story of the Suicidal Girl

Meet Catherine Rhodes or (Cathy for short.). She’s a 20 something girl who should be out there enjoying life, Instead she faces loneliness and depression and not only that but a family who constantly puts her down and she feels as if this family doesn’t love her.

She suffers from mental and physical abuse from her mother as she tries desprately to build a relationship with her mother.

Cathy knows she’s clumsy and that she isn’t perfect but she decides she needs to stop lying to herself so she turns to look for a way out.

This is her story told from the very beginning and her battle to beat it.

This is the story of a Suicidal girl.
 Clouded Minds

There’s a girl named Corlina. Just an ordinary teenager or is she?

7 years ago she had to go into hospital and the nurses said she had to have an MRI scan. The nurses looked worried because they noticed a cloud on her brain.

Suddenly with no warning the MRI scanner stopped working, the computers shut down and sparks started to fly. Corlina was stuck in the MRI metal tube for an hour.

Now 16 years old and starting high school. She begins to discover that she isn’t as ordinary as she thought.

Suddenly overnight she loses her hearing. Now she has a hearing aid and an identity. She struggles between who she is and who she was and along the way she isn’t sure who to trust.

She finally makes a friend and begins to trust someone only to be betrayed. Is there such a thing as a happy ending?

Thought provoking movie

Hi all. I just wanted to share a movie with you. If you haven’t already seen it, I strongly encourage you to do so. It’s not a great movie in my opinion but a good one. One that keeps you thinking about it days after you’ve watched it. Maybe in a way, that makes it a great movie…..

Anyway, the movie I’m talking about is Me Before You.

image

This movie star Emilia Clarke

image

And Sam Claflin

image

You may know Emilia Clarke from Game of Thrones and Sam Claflin has been seen in Hunger Games and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest.

Both are extremely talented and they play their parts in this movie well. Ordinary girl meets ordinary guy.

image

But Louisa Clark and Will Traynor prove to be anything but ordinary in this movie about life, love, and loss.

image

Here, let me give you a quick run down of the movie:

Louisa Clark is an ordinary girl living an exceedingly ordinary life—steady boyfriend, close family—who has barely been farther afield than her tiny village. She takes a badly needed job working for ex-Master of the Universe Will Traynor, who is wheelchair-bound after an accident. Will has always lived a huge life—big deals, extreme sports, worldwide travel—and he is not interested in exploring a new one.

Will is acerbic, moody, bossy—but Lou refuses to treat him with kid gloves, and soon his happiness means more to her than she expected. When she learns that Will has shocking plans of his own, Lou sets out to show him that life is still worth living.

Me Before You brings to life two people who couldn’t have less in common—a heartbreakingly romantic novel that asks, What do you do when making the person you love happy also means breaking your heart?

image

This movie will make you feel a variety of emotions. Sadness, anger, love, and hope. And in the end, it will make you ask the question:

What would I do if I were in that situation?

image

You should definitely watch this movie. It may be one of your favorites but it may not be. But either way, it is one that will stay with you long after the movie credits roll….Enjoy!

MUST SEE MOVIE

Good evening everybody. It’s been awhile since I’ve posted but after seeing this movie, I couldn’t help but give you a heads up on one of the best movies I’ve seen all year.

DEEPWATER HORIZON

image

This movie has it all.
Suspense, tragedy, hope, fear, love, relief, even anger. If you are looking for a rollercoaster ride of a movie, this is it. And to make it even more intense is the fact that it is based on real events.

Deepwater Horizon was an ultra-deepwater, dynamically positioned,semi-submersible offshore drilling rig[8]owned by Transocean. Built in 2001 inSouth Korea by Hyundai Heavy Industries,[9] the rig was commissioned by R&B Falcon, a later asset of Transocean,[10] registered in Majuro and leased to BP from 2001 until September 2013.[11] In September 2009, the rig drilled the deepest oil well in history at a vertical depth of 35,050 ft (10,683 m) and measured depth of 35,055 ft (10,685 m)[12]in the Tiber Oil Field at Keathley Canyonblock 102, approximately 250 miles (400 km) southeast of Houston, in 4,132 feet (1,259 m) of water.[13]

image

On 20 April 2010, while drilling at theMacondo Prospect, an uncontrollableblowout caused an explosion on the rigthat killed 11 crewmen and ignited a fireball visible from 40 miles (64 km) away.[14] The fire was inextinguishable and, two days later, on 22 April, theHorizon sank, leaving the well gushing at the seabed and causing the largest oil spill in U.S. waters.[15] A Mark Wahlbergmovie called Deepwater Horizonshowcasing the events of the explosion was released on 30 September 2016.

image

A great array of actors only  deepened the intensity of this movie about the United States worst oil rig tragedy in history.

MARK WALBERG

KURT RUSSELL

KATE HUDSON

JOHN MALCOVICH

GINA RODRIGUEZ

This movie is a MUST SEE! You will NOT be disappointed. And at the end, you get to see the actual people that both survived and lost their lives on DEEPWATER HORIZON.

What it is like to be married to a romance writer ?

Introducing Dawn Ireland!!

Hi guys. Today I want to introduce you to a wonderfully talented author. Her name is Dawn Ireland and her new book is called Highland Yearning.

Hi Dawn! It is so nice to meet you. And I am so glad you are here today.

Thanks Amy. I am glad to be here too.

I love the cover for your new book. Can you tell me a little more about the story between the pages?

Sure. Here’s the blurb.

Highland Yearning Blurb:

Caden Mackay would never bed a Sutherland, let alone marry one. Bloody hell, what had possessed his twin brother to propose to one of the she-devils? And what is Caden to do with the Sutherland beauty who appears, as if by magic, in his library? The defiant intruder is the enemy, but she is unlike any woman Caden’s ever known, and her tantalizing curves and wide green eyes could tempt a monk. He must devise a way to stop the wedding. But can he stop the desire that makes him long to make Ariel Sutherland his own?

Ariel’s life had never gone the way she’d hoped, but ending up in eighteenth century Scotland was a stretch, even for her. If not for her dog, Scruffy, she might have thought she’d walked into a romantic daydream. Especially since the object of her desire appears to be entirely too virile. But can she find her way back to her time, before her too-handsome Highlander makes her believe that love can conquer in any century?

Oh my. This sounds incredible. But it’s just enough to whet a reader’s appetite. Can you tell us a little more?

I can do better than that. How about an excerpt?

Highland Yearning Excerpt:

Caden turned to his cousin. “We’ll search the windows above. By now the coward has fled, but we may yet find something to unmask our would-be assassin. Then we’ll attend to your urgent matter.”

He drew Ariel aside far enough that Ian couldn’t hear them. His expression screamed, I’d rather fight a dozen well-armed warriors than be in debt to a Sutherland. “Thank you for . . .” He simply stared at her.

“Saving your life?” She waited. Nothing. “Kissing you?” She raised her eyebrows. “Just trying to fill in the blank here.”

He blanched, but then heat filled his eyes. “Aye.”

“Well, one of us had to take the bull by the horns.” Okay, best not to dwell on that image. “I mean, I was curious. I wanted to kiss you. No big deal. It was just a kiss.”

“Aye.”

“Will you stop agreeing with me.”

His smile was genuine and she felt it to the tips of her toes. Good heavens, the man had charisma.

“I’ve nae had a woman who wanted me to disagree with her.”

“Well, I’m not like most women.” That was true enough. She’d never done the ‘let’s talk about boys, clothes and makeup thing’ with a group of girls. Somehow, she’d never fit in.

He smiled down at her. “Aye.”

“There you go, agreeing again.”

“Perhaps it’s because you make yourself so agreeable.”

She couldn’t contain the laughter that burst from her lips. “Really?” The word came out between gasps. “Oh, I wish you could have been there to tell my teachers. Not that they’d believe you. They thought I questioned everything.”

“Then they didn’t ken you.” His brows drew together. “I believe the stone was meant for me, but just in case, I want you to take care.

Her laughter died. “Why would anyone want to kill me?”

“Have you offended anyone aside from Ranald, the Countess or Robertson since I met you?”

“I don’t-So, I speak my mind. Is there a law against that in this century?”

“No. And I prefer plain speaking, but I’m nae most men.”

“No, you’re not.”

WOW. That sounds hot. I would really like to read this book and find out what happens next. Dawn, if you don’t mind, I would like to ask you a few questions that let the readers get to know you a little better.

That sounds great. And fun.

Okay awesome. Here is the first question. If you could have one mythical creature exist, what would it be? Why?

I’m going to expand your question to include mythological beings. I’m a bit like Samwise Gamgee from the Lord of the Rings, I’m fascinated by elves, at least the elves that Tolkien created. How can you not admire beings who are surrounded by mystery, embody beauty and elegance, and are connected to nature? Their magic, while not always straight forward, looks at what an individual needs. An example of this are the gifts given to Sam and his friends on their quest to destroy the ring. I think if the elves did exist we couldn’t ignore magic. And yes, I believe there is magic in everyday things. It’s all in how you look at the world.

I LOVE watching Lord of the Rings. So does my eldest daughter. The elves, especially Legolas is her favorite. I totally agree with you on the magic notion. Life is full of magical moments. We just have to allow ourselves to see them.

Question #2: If you could live in another time, when would it be? Why?

I set my books in the late 1700s because I’m fascinated with that era. So much was happening in the world: the industrial revolution, England’s King George was going mad, the American and French Revolutions. These things make exciting backdrops for books.

Now I realize some things about the past weren’t pleasant. Believe me, I’m very happy with all our modern conveniences and advanced medicine, but I feel we’ve lost something along the way. We no longer value elegance, or conversation, or have rules to live by. Anything goes. That’s why I don’t tend to write contemporary romance.

I have often wondered how it would be to live back in the older eras. I have only read a few historical books but they do make things sound incredibly different. I suppose they are. Which in a way, is really quite sad.

I know you write historical books but have you ever considered venturing into genres? Which one?

I prefer a fast pace to stories I write, or read. All my books have elements of mystery/suspense to them, so I can see myself gravitating toward that genre. However, I think I’d be hard pressed not to include some romantic elements.

Yep. You have to have the romantic elements. I can’t really imagine a book without a little of romance in them. After all, love is extremely important . Speaking of love…What is one thing you would LOVE to do?

Spend my days writing in a cottage somewhere on a coast in the British Isles. Not that I’d ever give up my American citizenship, or spend all my time at the cottage, but it would be lovely to be surrounded by the people and history I use in my stories.

That sounds wonderful. And peaceful. I imagine you could get some great ideas from a scene like that. It would also be an amazing place to read.

What is the first book you remember reading?

Georgette Heyer’s Devil’s Cub when I was eleven or twelve. It made such a big impact on me that I can still tell you what happened in the story. (She shoots the hero. Who wouldn’t love a story like that?) I think my feet were firmly planted toward romance with that book. Although, at about the same age I discovered The Lord of the Rings and I’ve read the series at least four times, so fantasy/paranormal is a natural for me. I suspect that’s why all my Highlander stories have a touch of magic.

I’m sorry to say that I have not read that book but it sounds very interesting. I may have to check it out soon.

Thank you so much for being with us today. Your book sounds amazing and I’m sure it will do wonderful with readers. Before you go, do you have a link where we can find your book?
