Here to tantalize us…Maggie

Hello all. Today on Tantalizing Tuesday, I have the great and powerful Maggie Mundy and her book, Scarred Protector.

Good morning Maggie. I’m so glad your here. The cover of your book looks amazing. Can you tell us what your novel is about?

Absolutely. Better than that, I’ll give you the blurb:

Angels and demons are not what you think. They are aliens, and the Midworlders are their representatives on Earth.
An Angelic Midworlder called Heath goes to the aid of Evie who is about to be attacked by Demonics. He soon discovers she can see the angels and demons around her and is in grave danger. He is captivated by Evie who has physical and mental scars like him. They are tortured souls who are deeply connected by his past. There is an evil lurking inside Evie that could kill them both.

This sounds like a great book. Like something that would stay with you long after you turn the last page. Do you have an author that makes you feel like that?

That is easy. Jane Austen. I have read all her books so many times and love the language and the stories. I loved the BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice. I still enjoy Colin Firth in a wet shirt when I rewatch it.

I LOVE that book. The movie is great too. Books and music just have a way of moving you. Speaking of which, what was your very first concert?

I went to see Queen, in the UK at a small venue called The Colston Hall. Freddy Mercury was as good live, as he was on record. He wore a white lycra one piece and strutted across the stage. I consider myself extremely lucky to have seen him.

How amazing! Their music is really good. If you could go to another concert, who would you love to see?

I would like to see Adele if she comes to Australia. I think her voice is amazing and touches me emotionally.

I love her music, especially her new song Hello. I sing it all the time. (Not well though 😌) It’s pretty embarrassing. Have you done anything embarassing that still makes you still blush today?

When I was in my early twenties, I went to Europe and one day went swimming naked in a local river with friends. We thought it was isolated spot until a tour boat came down the river and all the passengers cheered as they went passed.

LOL. That is hilarious! I’ve never done that but I did about pass out the first time I got a tattoo. Mostly because I was so scared. But I’m over that now. I want more actually. How about you? Have any tattoos?

I don’t have any tattoos, but my daughters both have some beautiful ones that all have special meanings to them.

Yeah, I wouldn’t just any random tattoo. I want my tats to mean something. But if you were to get one, what would you want?

I have written a woman’s fiction in which the heroine gets a tattoo that says, live, laugh, love. I have said if it gets published I would have that tattooed on me. There, now the world knows the promise.

You’ll have to take a picture and show us how awesome it looks. 😀  Being published is a great thing. I love it. What is the best thing about being an author for you?

Finishing a manuscript and thinking to yourself that you have created a story people will want to read. I would love to be rich and famous but more than that I want people to enjoy my books. When you get a great review, or someone you meet says they like your work, it makes it all worthwhile.

I totally agree. To be rich and famous would be great but I love hearing how much people enjoy my writing more. So where can your fans find you?
