Well today is the day. The day for goblins and ghosts and vampires and tons of other “cooler” costumes to hit the streets in the unending quest to find the CANDY….🍬🍬🍬🍬🍬🍬🍬🍬🍬🍭🍭🍭🍭🍭🍭🍭🍭🍭🍭🍭🍭🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫

I was hoping to have some good scary posts on here for you but it didn’t work out that way this year. But that’s okay.

My hubby and I are taking our girls out trick or treating tonight. One is a Pretty Vampire and the other is a Day of the Dead girl. Hopefully they will get a lot of candy. And hopefully they will actually get to keep some of it. Providing they can hide it from my sweet-loving hubby.  🎂🍬🍫🍭🎂🍬🍫🍭:D

Anyway, I hope you all have a safe and fun Halloween. 🎃 Thanks for stopping by.

Wanna see a great movie?

Hello everyone. Ok I am a lover of all kinds of things-books, music, movies. But once in awhile one of these things just stands out and continues to stay with me. This time it’s a movie called The Best of Me. Have you seen it? If not, you should. It is AMAZING!!

It features an incredible cast:

James Marsden (Party of Five, 27 Dresses, Disturbing Behavior):

Michelle Monaghan (Made of Honor, Eagle Eye, Ghost Protocol) as Amanda:

Luke Bracey (Dance Academy, G.I.) as a young Dawson:

Liana Liberato (Trust) as a young Amanda:

And Gerald McRaney (Major Dad) as Tuck:

First of all, this movie is from Nicholas Sparks, the king of Romance. You will know what I’m talking about if you have ever seen The Notebook, The Longest Ride, Dear John, or A Walk to Remember. So just by that alone, you know it’s going to be good. A real heart stopper and a real tear jerker.

I don’t want to ruin the movie for you so I will just tell you the basics.

A boy from a bad family (Dawson) falls for a good girl from an upscale family (Amanda). She falls for him just as hard. And when Dawson’s father bears him, he runs away and finds shelter with a widower named Tuck.

The teenager’s love is evident and you just know they will be together. But then, of course, tragedy strikes and rips the two apart.

20 years later, they have a second chance to be together. And it seems like they finally will but then tragedy strikes again. What happens next? You will have to watch it to find out.

But let me say this. This movie will make you believe in the power of true love, the realness of destiny, and the mystery of life. It is one that will make you laugh, make you cry, steal your heart, and capture your soul. I have added the trailer link for you below. Do yourself a favor and check it out today. You won’t be sorry. Enjoy!!

Just Teasing…With Samanthya!

Thank you Amy, for having me on your blog today. I’m really excited to be here and share my books with you,
I love to read and I love romance. I write hot, sizzling love stories. A large cup of coffee is always within my reach as I sit at my computer and bring characters to life. I spend so much time with them, they become real people. I only hope I carry that over into my writing so readers can be involved in the story and feel the emotions of the hero and heroine.
Ever since I can remember, I have loved curling up with a book. Once I found historical romance novels, I couldn’t put a book down. I fell in love with the characters and needed to know their happy ending. Once I decided to pursue my own dream of writing, I joined RWA, took workshops, entered contests, and never gave up.
My first historical “The Right One”, was a Golden Rose finalist. I signed my first contract with Soul Mate Publishing in 2013, and since then I’ve had four books published in historical and contemporary romance. In my historical series, each book has a beginning and a romantically satisfying end for my characters happily ever after. The third book, The Only One, in The One and Only Series is available October 14th.

A dangerous lord’s warning sparks devastating results
One impulsive kiss to prove the young girl flirted with danger shakes Giles’ firm resolve, causing him to flee. Tormented with longing for the woman who branded his very soul, he returns to claim the love he’d carelessly thrown away.

A girl’s determination triggers a woman’s desire
From the first moment Alexandria saw the duke she decided he would be hers. A feisty girl seduces the lord with a woman’s passion determined to get the man she wants.

For the holidays, I have a contemporary coming out Dec 1st. A Hero Grinch for Christmas. Not there’s a catchy title and the book is exactly that. War hero, Hunter Graham, has seen enough devastation to last a lifetime. At the end of his latest Army term, he accepted his discharge papers and never looked back. Dani will not allow The Grinch to hide from Christmas. She will cure Hunter of his nasty mood, even if it kills her. So look for it in December.

After that I have a fireman series planned. As a kid, I played with fire trucks and guns. No dolls for me. Yep, a regular Tom Boy. I spent hours putting their little plastic hats on their head, the little rubber hose in their tiny hands and positioning them on the ladder. And now that I’m older, I still like big handsome firemen. Chuckle. So hopefully next year The Firemen of Station #8 Series.

I invite you to lay the worries of the world off your shoulders and get lost in the pages of a romance, where you embark on a journey with the hero and heroine, become involved in a dream, plunge into a world of fantasy, live an adventure your heart can share.

Vigilantes Anyone? Part Two…The Songs

Hello everyone. I’m back with the second part of my earlier post revealing where I get the ideas for my books, namely The Perfect Order series of which I am currently working on book 2 entitled Stone Cold Angel. The first In the series, Angel in the Shadows, is on sale now on Amazon for only $2.99.
In the first post, I cited the movies that most inspire me. Today I am going to give you all a top 10 list of the songs which motivate my creative juices.  Some are darker and slower than the others but each one is super powerful and speaks to my soul. Most of you have probably heard of some, if not all, of these songs. But in case you haven’t or you just want to listen to them, I am including a YouTube link for each song. The videos are not necessarily the drive for my inspiration. It is the words of the songs that stuck with me. They are not in any particular order of my favorite or even follow the way each book loves but every one of them plays a part in every book plot. Enjoy!!

1. Iris by Goo Goo Dolls
When I hear this song, I think of my hero is realizing that he’s in love with the girl and he’s considering giving everything up for her…

2. Better Than Me by Hinder
With this one, I envision my hero being in love with the girl and realizing that she deserves a better man than he is but that he still wants her…

3. I’d Come For You by Nickelback
I can so totally see my hero walking away from the woman he loves but realizing he made a mistake and vows that he will come to her rescue no matter what…

4. Good Man by Devour the Day
I love this song because the guy knows that there is a part of him that is good. He just has trouble keeping the “bad”side at bay…

5. Bliss by Hinder
This song makes me see that to my heros, ignorance of emotions is truely bliss.  To be without someone they really care about is Hell and they will do whatever it takes to get through without them…

6. Poison by Alice Cooper
In this one, my hero doesn’t want to fall for the woman he’s trying to protect but he can’t help but want her. She’s in his veins….

7. Animal by Three Days Grace
This is another song where the hero is battling the darkness inside him. He needs help and only one special woman can do it….

8. Hate Me by Blue October
Here the guy wants to make the girl hate him because he feels it’s better for her…

9. All I Want by Staind
This song is perfect to illustrate the longing that the hero feels for the heroine and that he doesn’t want to be without her…

10. Reckless by Papa Roach
The guy in this song realized it will take a very special woman to put up with the man he is…

There you go–my top ten songs of inspiration. I hope you liked this post. Feel free to leave a comment if you would like. Thank  you for stopping by!

This Week’s Read…Tracey Wood!

Hello everyone. This week I am hosting the amazing author Tracey Wood and her novel Midnight Angel.  Everything I have read about this book is both intriguing and exciting and is totally worth checking out. So please continue to read about Tracey and Midnight Angel below. Enjoy!

Following a terrifying and vicious attack, in a deserted park in London. By a predatory unknown monster. Kat Shaw, a thirty something, divorced, estate agent, starts to develop unusual skills which have murderous consequences. She is witness to multiple, brutal murders through the eyes a killer, which she realises is not human. She is thrown into a battle between Good vs Evil and falls in love with two men who are not what they seem. While her attacker stalks her and continues to murder the innocent. She has to find the inner strength to take on and fight the demons from hell. To protect her family, friends and save her own life and soul.

I slowly drifted off to sleep.
I started to walk through the woods, following a stream. The sun was shining and I could hear the birds singing. The heat of the day warmed my body, relaxing me, making me happy and content. The smell of the damp earth lay heavy in the air. It was drying out after the heavy rain of winter. Small animals scurried around in the undergrowth, foraging for food.
I walked on a little further and broke through the woods into a small clearing. The stream was wider, deeper here and moving quiet fast. Then there he was, sitting on the rock. Staring at the water’s edge. I approached him, but he never moved.
Stopping a few feet from him. He slowly turned toward me. He knew I was there. He was gorgeous. He looked to be in his late thirties, with golden brown hair, sitting just past his shoulders. There was a hint of red in it that glistened in the sunlight. He had an air of power surround him and his face was the face of an angel. His piercing blue eyes rose, to meet mine.
I woke up.

QUESTION AND ANSWER TIME!! 😄  😎

1. What do you like the best about being a writer?
The thing I like most is that I can let my imagination run wild. I start off with an idea of a scene and let it play out in my head.

2. Where do you draw the most inspiration for your stories from? The inspiration for my stories comes from a number of places but I think it all started when I was a little girl, at school. We use to tell each other ghost stories, in the playground at lunch time. I had a teacher who use to encourage the haunted house stories I use to write. He would tell the class ghost stories and encourage us to participate in group talks. I think that is where it all started and I would say, he was my inspiration.

3. Many authors talk about their characters as if they are real people. Do you do this and if so, do you ever get looked at strangely?
Yes I do and they are real to me. Seriously though I seem to get more of a sympathetic look. I think people think I’m a little crazy.

4. Have you ever had to stop right in the middle of something and jot down an idea/scene/conversation for a book? What were you doing?
I actually carry a little book around with me, everywhere! I have short term memory problems so my little pink book is invaluable for everything from picking things up on my way home from work, appointments, passwords and idea’s.

5. What do you like to do in your downtime?
Downtime, I’m not sure I know what that is, Lol. Actually I don’t get much time for downtime with working full time, I have a disabled son to look after and writing in between. If I haven’t got a computer in front of me I do like to read. I have a lot of favorite authors who I try to keep up to date with their new releases. I love Sherrilyn Kenyon, Rachel Caine, Jennifer Estep, Keri Arthur to name a few.

6. You can have any super power. What is it and why?
Teleportation. Defiantly. No sitting in the car, stuck in traffic. I am up for work, at 5.30 during the week. I could have an extra hour in bed, wouldn’t that be nice.

Tracey A Wood has lived in Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire in the United Kingdom, for all of her life. She has been married for thirty years and has two children. One of her boy’s lives at home due to being disable the other has flown the coup. She has three cats that are her babies and she talks to them like they are. Funny thing is they don’t answer back.
She loves snowboarding, skiing, jumping out of aeroplanes and bungee jumping. Well that is when other people are doing them. She prefers to have her nose in a book or writing one. She also loves to people watch which her husband is always telling her to stop doing. She has a job that she enjoys and works full time. Although if she won the lottery that might change! She has also got a very good imagination.
In 2014, she decided to take the bull by the horns and send her manuscript to Soul Mate Publishing. She feels so privileged to have her book published, as this is the first one that she has written. It has made her dream of being a published author a reality. Life really is too short to wait, you’ve got to go for it. She is still working full time and is also working on another book in her limited spare time.  Her favourite saying is ‘Everything happens for a reason’ which she also believes is true.
Her books are fast paced and centred on a female lead who finds an inner strength after being thrown into situations that are beyond her control.

How being a doctor has made me a better writer.

Well, hello thar! Long time, no blog! 😛 Today I’m talking about how being a doctor has made me a better writer, the second in a two part series Carole Ann Moleti and I decided to conjure up for everyone. 🙂 To see Carole’s awesome post, check it out here.

Although I’ve been a writer my entire life, I decided to become a physician in college since I’d fallen in love with medicine after working in pathology for a few years. I’d never even considered a career in writing, since I didn’t think it was a “real thing.” I grew up poor, so options such as writing, painting, and photography weren’t valid. My father had always told me that success was the ability to support your family and live comfortably, and in my mind, success meant a high-powered career (obviously, I was wrong–success is much more than a career…
